94 percent of SPSS customers achieve a positive ROI in fewer than 11 months

Results Show One of the Highest ROI Scores for the Real ROI Series

Nucleus Research, the leading provider of Return on Investment (ROI)-focused research and advisory services for the global IT industry, today announced the results of an independent study on SPSS (Nasdaq:SPSS) predictive analytics solutions. The study, published today and titled, "The Real ROI from SPSS," concluded that ninety-four percent of SPSS's customers had achieved a positive ROI from their deployments, after an average deployment time of 10.7 months. Predictive analytics solutions such as SPSS allow organizations to leverage business knowledge by applying sophisticated analysis techniques to their data. Insights from the analysis form the basis of strategy for business activities including customer acquisition and retention, up-selling and cross-selling and fraud detection, among others.

Nucleus Research evaluated SPSS as part of its continuing series of ROI reports titled "Real ROI." SPSS ROI study results were based on user experiences and factual data – the only method which guarantees the validity of the results. Using Nucleus Research’s rigorous methodology, the study concluded that 94 percent of SPSS customers surveyed achieved a positive return on investment, with an average payback period of 10.7 months. Key findings from the survey include:

  • 94% of those surveyed achieved a positive ROI, with an average payback period of 10.7 months.
  • SPSS solutions could support a company’s existing technology environment – or interoperate with the analysis systems of partners and clients using SPSS
  • Over 90% of SPSS users surveyed attributed an increase in productivity to SPSS, expressed in increased productivity from existing employees, or reduced the need to hire additional employees.
  • The majority of SPSS users surveyed leveraged existing hardware to support SPSS and did not make additional hardware investments to deploy SPSS.
