BOSTON – January 14, 2009 – Nucleus Research analysts have independently examined the deployment of BlackLine Systems Account Reconciliation software at a packaged goods manufacturer to find a rapid return on investment (ROI) of 495% with payback in just two months.

This leading manufacturer of packaging solutions for the healthcare, personal care, food, beverage, entertainment, and home and garden industries, has 23,000 employees worldwide and serves customers in more than 100 countries. The company used a centralized corporate accounting system to manage individual accounts in North America. The accounts reconciliation process, however, performed 90% of reconciliations in Excel, printed for documentation and then simply recorded in that tool. The manufacturer needed a better process for accounts reconciliation.

The company deployed BlackLine Systems Account Reconciliation module in 2008 to automate the reconciliation process and enable easier monitoring as well as reporting. As a result, it has retired its legacy tools and has cut IT costs annually. It has improved its certification, accounting review and auditing processes through automation and given the company greater insight and data visibility. Daily reports now take seconds to create.
