Microsoft Exchange ROI report

Notes and Reports
August 2000 - Report A17

THE BOTTOM LINE

Exchange 2000 is not a revolutionary new groupware solution; rather, it is targeted at fixing the reliability and administrative issues of previous versions of Exchange by tightly integrating it with Windows 2000. Upfront investment in Windows 2000 technology and expertise is critical for success. Companies upgrading to Exchange 2000 should not look for broad advances in productivity and collaborative functionality; however, modest cost savings on the administrative and developer side can be reasonably expected.
