THE BOTTOM LINE

Companies with an existing Microsoft environment can rapidly build Web services applications by upgrading to the latest versions of Microsoft's development tools, Visual Studio.NET, which add support for Web services standards. Companies with Java experience are likely to achieve a better ROI using Java tools and applications servers, which will also likely enable more complex and robust applications.
