Oracle Acquires Hyperion

Notes and Reports
April 2007 - Report H27

THE BOTTOM LINE

As consolidation continues in the Business Intelligence (BI) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) application markets, Oracle strikes again - to become the first ERP player to acquire a BI company. Oracle customers will benefit from greater integration and more depth in BI and performance management functionality. Standalone BI vendors will have to continue to differentiate their value and their ability to integrate easily to stay competitive.
