THE BOTTOM LINE

By paring down its base CRM product, Siebel would help reduce implementation costs for users with basic needs. But this doesn’t mean that users will see the bottom line shift from red to black. If Siebel keeps license fees where they are and charges extra for features that today come standard, some companies may end up paying even more.
