Transport Canada joined the Canadian government's RDIMS shared system initiative, based primarily on Hummingbird, to improve information access for employees and comply with document retention standards. The organization achieved a payback in just over one year through increased employee productivity, annual savings on personnel costs, physical storage, and other overhead associated with a paper-based system.
