Informatica enables organizations to integrate and analyze large volumes of disparate data types, including information in traditional transactional data sources, Web interactions, social media, sensor technology, and call-detail records. In order to identify the benefits of this technology, Nucleus examined the adoption of Informatica 9.1 at a major healthcare provider in the Northeast. Analysts identified benefits in two areas. Headcount additions were avoided by using new features in Informatica to achieve productivity improvements and increase the number of projects completed. Second, fines were reduced after the upgrade enabled the organization to submit more accurate information to state regulators.
