THE BOTTOM LINE

Amersham's goal in deploying Oracle's 9iAS was in building a portal to improve communication and collaboration across groups. Although greater HTML flexibility and more available portlets would have reduced the costs of deployment, Amersham expects to reap future benefits from improved communication as its portal evolves.
