Cornerstone OnDemand responds to market demands for PaaS

Cornerstone Edge, the new platform-as-a-service (PaaS) from Cornerstone OnDemand, is the first from a cloud-based vendor of exclusively talent management technology. Available to customers and independent software vendors (ISVs), Cornerstone Edge offers uncommon flexibility in customization, which drives PaaS-related demand in the market for human capital management (HCM). The solution’s potential to help users create HCM-destined applications outside of talent management, Cornerstone’s focus, may accelerate adoption of Cornerstone Edge. But pricing, which Cornerstone has yet to announce, will set the ultimate pace – and reveal the cost that users of cloud-based HCM technology are willing to bear for customization.
