Although business intelligence (BI) software has been touted as a way for supply chain chiefs to gain sharper insights into their operations and transform their processes, less than half of all companies have even begun using these decision-support tools. A study by Nucleus Research found that only 41 percent of companies are applying analytics in their supply chain. Two hundred and fifteen supply chain managers and logistics executives took part in the research.
