LLamasoft plans upgrades new data platform for analytics

At its annual conference LLamasoft Inc. revealed plans for major upgrades to its Supply Chain Guru application as well as the LogicNetPlus (LNP) product recently acquired from IBM. Another major announcement was its plan to create a data platform specifically for supply chain analytics, a development that could spur wider usage of business intelligence in supply chain management. Although LLamasoft made its mark in supply chain design, the development of a repository for analytics indicates that the vendor has plans to broaden its scope.
