Oracle ZFS storage heads to the cloud

Oracle has one of the largest Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud deployments in the world and is committed to using its own infrastructure products in those deployments to push all its businesses forward. As a result, Oracle’s experience in cloud operations is driving the design of products like its ZFS Storage Appliance line. This is a big advantage for customers building private clouds, or those that have standardized on other parts of the Oracle stack, but future performance may come at a price.
