Salesforce Lightning released

Salesforce announced the general availability of Salesforce Lightning Components and App Builder on July 28, and also announced AppExchange for Components to make it easier for developers to sell and deliver their applications. The componentized drag-and-drop approach supported by Lightning will enable business users to develop and launch their own Salesforce applications, thereby reducing developer burden while accelerating time to value.
