The propensity to partner with the competition is strong among vendors of technology for human capital management (HCM). At times the practice can lead to brand confusion and customer attrition, especially when the partnership involves overlapping solutions and introduces shared users to those. Mutually advantageous partnerships do exist, however, and we encourage vendors to enter them from a position of strength, as SilkRoad has.
