Tactile raises $11.2 million

Tactile, a new software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider founded by a former Salesforce.com executive, announced a round of fundraising and the launch of its first application, Tact, designed to help sales people organize and synchronize e-mail, calendar, tasks, Salesforce.com data, LinkedIn contacts, Twitter and other social data in one place — their mobile device. In its initial look at the application, Nucleus found it could increase sales productivity and effectiveness while driving more effective sales force automation (SFA) adoption.
