Companies assigning specific users to supply chain applications increase their likelihood of earning the expected payback on a software investment. A Nucleus Research survey of supply chain executives found that 56 percent of companies having dedicated users for a supply chain tool received their expected return on investment (ROI) compared to only 33 percent companies that don’t have distinct users. Talks with supply chain executives across numerous industries further corroborates the finding that deployments of supply chain design (SCD) and inventory optimization (IO) tools require power users to ensure success.
