Enterprise software must adopt the principles of Dark Cockpit

November 15, 2013 - Research N167

The vendor race for feature and function parity in enterprise software has increased the complexity of many applications to the breaking point. Vendors can learn much from the evolution of aircraft cockpit design in the 1970s and 1980s. For CRM and other enterprise software applications to advance, vendors must rethink their human interface and human factors and adopt the principles of the dark cockpit.
