Four out of ten do not know supply chain ROI

April 29, 2016 - Research Q74

Companies continue to struggle with justifying payback on supply chain software deployments. A recent survey of supply chain executives by Nucleus Research found that the number of respondents earning a payback on their supply chain software investment – 43 percent – equaled the same percentage who were unsure as to whether they got any return on investment (ROI). Another 14 percent held the view that their company did not receive the expected return on a supply chain software deployment. The findings show that vendors need to adopt a more prescriptive approach to selling their software, offering counsel on defining deployment objectives and assisting with implementation to ensure users achieve a positive ROI.
