How AI-native translation shifts the ROI of enterprise localization

April 22, 2026 - Research 26072

Organizations using AI-assisted translation reduce cost and accelerate delivery across enterprise language workflows, but independent adoption across business functions has created a governance gap. Marketing, legal, product, operations, and customer support teams translate content using different tools with no shared standards for terminology, brand voice, or output quality. To investigate how organizations close this gap, Nucleus Research examined a new category of AI-native translation platforms, finding that organizations recover the quality controls and terminology enforcement that generic tools cannot provide while retaining the speed and cost advantages of AI. Analysis finds that organizations adopting AI-native platforms reduce translation spend by 80 to 90 percent, open language markets previously uneconomical to serve, and eliminate the compliance risk ungoverned AI translation introduces.
