Cloudera partners with VAST Data to make enterprise AI efficient
As many enterprises have quickly found out, applying AI to proprietary data is expensive. Organizations typically hold all the data their AI initiatives need, but most lack the infrastructure that efficiently feeds it to accelerated compute. Training and inference clusters frequently wait on storage, preparation, and retrieval layers built for batch analytics, and every idle hour erodes the return on that hardware. On July 14, 2026, Cloudera and VAST Data announced a strategic partnership delivering a joint AI factory, feeding enterprise data to models in a continuous cycle. The solution runs Cloudera’s data services on the VAST AI Operating System and follows the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design. Nucleus expects adopters to raise utilization of existing GPU estates and to reach production with AI services 30 to 50 percent faster than teams assembling equivalent infrastructure.
