Analyst research firm honors 10 technology companies with significant potential for growth and exceptional customer value in the year ahead

December 7, 2020 — BOSTON Nucleus Research today unveiled its “Hot Companies to Watch in 2021”, the firm’s list of the 10 technology companies poised to deliver breakthroughs in value to customers and see substantial growth in the coming year.

Companies on Nucleus’ “Hot Companies to Watch in 2021” offer business-focused solutions that span technologies and vertical markets, from human capital management to storage to supply chain software. In determining the winners, Nucleus analysts identified each vendor’s current position and their potential for impressive growth, justifying inclusion based on the vendor’s momentum and recent successes. Some vendors on the list typify innovative approaches or new applications of technology, and others are on the cutting-edge of their respective markets, delivering novel technology capabilities to customers and seeking to unseat incumbent solutions.

“The Hot Companies to Watch List is a diverse collection of technology companies that are already delivering outstanding business value to their customers, and are poised for even greater things in 2021,” said Ian Campbell, CEO of Nucleus Research. “This year’s list includes many vendors whose capabilities have become even more crucial amid the pandemic, during which many companies have had to streamline their hiring processes or transition to the cloud.”

Nucleus’ analysts identified the following 10 organizations as companies to watch in the coming year:

Conga — This lifecycle management solution’s consolidation of CPQ, contract, and document management capabilities makes it well-positioned to help its customers manage the entire quote-to-cash process, all the way from lead generation to signing the dotted line.

E2open — The comprehensive Supply Chain Management solution vendor provides an attractive value proposition in instilling operational resilience through end-to-end visibility and automated decision-making across all segments of the supply chain.

Infor — The SaaS solution’s broad functionality among its ERP, SCM, CRM, and HCM suites, paired with a high level of usability, makes it a competitive player among vendors that cover several departments’ technology needs.

JobSync — Offering a tool that integrates with enterprise applicant tracking and HCM systems, the solution’s ease of deployment, cost-efficiency, and minimal intrusion to an organization’s existing infrastructure makes it an easy choice for businesses looking to improve top of the funnel candidate experience.

Mendix— Having established itself as a leading low-code application development solution, Mendix will continue its momentum into 2021 through further commitment to innovation and support of all user skill levels.

SugarCRM— A stalwart in the CRM space for years, this year SugarCRM has made several strategic acquisitions and new product announcements that position it as a company to watch closely throughout 2021 and beyond.

Visier — The workforce planning and analytics platform built to address HR challenges with hundreds of metrics holds the highest market share in the workforce analytics software market, with approximately 5,000 customers globally.

Wasabi Technologies — In 2021, companies like Wasabi will show enterprises that there are cost effective alternatives to the larger cloud service providers, and these solutions can be implemented without compromising performance or overall capabilities.

Workato — The iPaaS solution focused on business process and workflow automation functionalities will continue to grow in 2021 as work-from-home environments remain prevalent and companies look toward solutions that provide all-in-one capabilities.

Zoho — The provider of business applications for the mid-market is looking to continue its growth in the United States as customers become more familiar with the Zoho brand and its broad functionality, coupled with its relative cost-effectiveness.
