AI powered integration improves user productivity by 27 to 58 percent
Generative AI is changing how organizations build and manage integrations, with AI capabilities in iPaaS platforms accelerating the integration development lifecycle through natural language workflow generation, automated integration building, and intelligent documentation. To investigate this shift, Nucleus analyzed deployments of AI-powered iPaaS capabilities across multiple organizations, examining productivity impacts and workflow changes across user roles. Integration developers achieved productivity improvements of 27 to 58 percent, with up to 90 percent faster time to deployment through AI-assisted generation features. Business users gained self-service integration capabilities that previously required IT involvement, compressing integration delivery from weeks to days. These gains allow organizations to scale integration capacity without proportional growth in technical teams, removing the connectivity bottleneck when pursuing new partnerships, acquisitions, or technology adoption.
