In financial services, where capital access has become commoditized, analytics and data intelligence represent one of the only meaningful differentiators. To investigate the value delivered by these investments, Nucleus examined ROI case study data for analytics deployments across financial services over the past three years. This review found that customers’ investments returned $2.13 per dollar spent on average with a payback period of 13 months. Organizations across banking, insurance, and wealth management reported productivity improvements of 50 to 95 percent for analyst, data, and operations teams. Marketing and campaign functions saw 14 to 23 percent improvements in lead generation and sales conversion. Financial services organizations also achieved 20 to 50 percent reductions in technology and support costs by consolidating legacy analytics systems onto more unified cloud analytics platforms.
