Benefit case study – Infor MES improves visibility and OEE for a manufacturer
High-volume manufacturers require accurate, real-time visibility into equipment performance to reduce downtime, improve throughput, and maintain product quality at scale. Through end-user conversations, Nucleus found that manufacturers deploying a unified MES such as Infor MES are better positioned to consolidate machine, production, and quality data into a single operational view, enabling more reliable OEE reporting, faster issue resolution, and reducing reliance on manual reporting processes. However, realizing the full benefit of an MES deployment requires treating machine connectivity as a core implementation workstream from the outset, establishing a strong data foundation prior to go-live, and maintaining cross-functional ownership across operations, quality, and IT. Customers emphasized that when reliable automated data capture is established early, they are better able to improve equipment utilization, increase output, and reduce costly production disruptions and unplanned downtime.
