Benefit case study: Rootstock enables 5x growth at a manufacturer
This luxury textiles manufacturer deployed Rootstock to modernize its domestic production model and support multi-channel growth that its Microsoft Access–based environment could no longer sustain. The legacy system lacked bills of material, routings, and automated work order creation, forcing developers to maintain fragile integrations and constraining the company’s ability to scale as SKU counts expanded and direct-to-consumer demand accelerated. Rootstock was selected over NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics because it provided native manufacturing depth on Salesforce, enabling the business to codify production processes, expose operational data to reporting and workflow tools already in use, and manage roughly 8,000 SKUs without custom code. Since its implementation, revenue has increased from approximately $20M to nearly $100M, without a corresponding proportional increase in headcount. Production cycle times have decreased from 30 days to approximately two weeks, and improved MRP and planning accuracy have led to better inventory turns. The textile manufacturer attributes these performance gains to Rootstock’s ability to unify ERP and CRM on a single platform, extend capabilities through Salesforce configuration, and iterate rapidly on business processes.
