Cybersecurity Buying Intentions
Nucleus analyzed the purchasing decisions of 165 IT Directors and Chief Technology Officers who purchased from 14 different cybersecurity vendors. In descending order, the organizations listed six primary reasons for either buying additional cybersecurity or switching software: vendor-specific features, price, computing resources, user-friendly interface, implementation process, and reputation. For 56 percent of organizations, the purchasing process used a combination of one or more of the above motivating factors. When comparing price and features, organizations are almost three times more likely to upgrade software than to opt for a cheaper alternative.
