Database technology outlook survey

June 27, 2022 - Research W102

Nucleus surveyed 184 database administrators and found that data stored and processed in databases is expected to double by 2025, with automotive, manufacturing, and transportation industries leading the way. This growth is primarily fueled by increasing returns on data and database technology, with over 90 percent of respondents noting that the value of their database solution has increased over the past year. To capitalize on this growth trend and extend customer adoption, vendors must continue to invest in scalable and performance-optimized architectures alongside capabilities for real-time processing and in-database analytics.
