In the age of global pandemics and supply chain disruptions, it is more important than ever for organizations to maximize the efficiency of their physical assets. Companies in asset-intensive industries need to track the performance of their infrastructure and inventory to avoid resource breakdowns, disruptions, and excessive repair costs. Enterprise asset management (EAM) solutions provide organizations with the necessary tools to transition from a reactive to a proactive maintenance approach. By implementing an EAM solution, users can monitor an organization’s physical assets and streamline maintenance work orders. Nucleus found that end users experienced on average a 50 percent decrease in emergency work orders, a 15 percent reduction in corrective maintenance, and a 5 percent cut in operational costs.
