GDPR and privacy security

August 7, 2017 - Research R151

The European Union General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) will preplace the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC on May 25, 2018. These new regulations will expand a company’s Personally Identifiable Information (PII) protection obligations, including how data is secured. Unlike the original directive, the GDPR does not require any legislation for implementation. It is directly applicable and binding to any company with European Union (EU) clients.
