Hitachi embraces Hadoop and the cloud

February has been an active month for Hitachi Data Systems as it has sought to build out its cloud and Hadoop offerings. Hitachi announced a partnership with Hadoop provider Hortonworks, the acquisitions of Pentaho and oXya, and Pentaho’s new support for Amazon Redshift and Cloudera Impala. With these announcements customers will be able to reduce costs by leveraging cloud and Hadoop environments and benefit from improved analytics and decision making.
