How to evaluate cloud options

Nucleus Research found that cloud-based applications are the logical and efficient solution as the choice of enterprise content management (ECM) deployment method when adding or upgrading an application. Nucleus spoke with 24 ECM users, 70 percent who either had moved to, or were in the process of moving to cloud-based implementation for their applications. The 30 percent balance of users had no plans to change their deployment option either because of limited, uninterrupted access to the internet or an extensive investment in infrastructure. Nucleus determined that objections to cloud based services are no longer compelling, except in those cases where internet access is currently limited.
