The City of Fort Worth implemented a joint emergency operations center (JEOC) based on IBM social software and software from an IBM business partner, UnifiedEdge, to allow disaster and emergency response staff to more rapidly build teams and communicate with public service agencies and other third parties to manage events. Nucleus found the Smarter Cities project enabled Fort Worth to better meet the needs of its citizens in times of emergency, and support events such as the Super Bowl.
