Adoption of analytics such as business intelligence (BI), performance management (PM), and predictive analytics (PA) in midsize companies continues to lag behind that of larger organizations. Those that have embraced analytics are able to make smarter decisions using information rather than intuition alone. While there are common misperceptions about analytics in the midmarket, Nucleus has examined hundreds of analytics deployments over the past 5 years, including IBM customers, and found many midmarket organizations have gained benefits from analytics by overcoming these misperceptions.
