Microsoft acquires Yammer

Microsoft has announced its intent to purchase Yammer and to add Yammer to the Microsoft Office suite. Yammer’s social capabilities, cloud deployment, and freemium business model all represent transformative opportunities for Microsoft to increase market share and reduce churn in its Office, Office 365, and Dynamics products.
