Philanthropy and employee engagement
In a competitive labor market, human capital management (HCM) solutions can drive improved recruiting, engagement, and retention. However, most companies’ HCM stratgegies lack support for an important emerging aspect of engagement: support for employee philanthropy. Given that more than 50 percent of employees believe it is important that their employer is socially responsible and contributes to causes they care about, support for philanthropy is a natural next step for improving employee engagement. HCM vendors can lead this evolution by providing customers with both technology capabilities and thought leadership that support a linked engagement-philanthropy strategy and more efficient management, tracking, and communication around employee volunteerism.
