Salesforce.com acquires ExactTarget

Salesforce.com announced plans to acquire ExactTarget on June 4. The largest acquisition by far Salesforce.com has ever made, this gives Salesforce.com a functionality boost in business-to-business, e-mail, and mobile marketing capabilities. It also gives the company an expanded customer base, new capabilities to sell to its existing customers, and more service and thought leadership capabilities to differentiate its CRM offering.
