Strong quarter for Oracle

September 17, 2020 - Research U137

On September 10th, Oracle held its Fiscal 2021 Q1 Earnings call, where it announced a two percent year-over-year increase to its quarterly revenues. Following the pandemic earlier this year and the budgetary freezes across nearly all industries, tech companies like Oracle suffered from delayed and dropped deals. Oracle has since recovered from the revenue dip from its last quarter earnings release. Nucleus attributes the Q1 success to the revenue increases of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP (Oracle Cloud ERP) and NetSuite ERP. As virtually all growth can be attributed to Oracle’s rapidly expanding cloud platform, Nucleus believes Oracle’s cloud infrastructure poses strong competition to its traditional competitors of Salesforce, SAP, and Workday.
