The value of talent management in 2023

Nucleus surveyed 213 talent management users and found that the reported value of talent management relative to other HR initiatives has increased by 36 percent since August 2022. This rapid change in priorities, while in line with general volatility of the labor market, can be attributed to the need to keep costs low while maximizing efficiency. Survey respondents reported performance management and learning and development as business-critical areas of investment for the remainder of the year, as organizations shift from attracting high-performing candidates to retaining and developing their existing workforce.
