Using data to maximize returns on BI

Nucleus Research took a closer look at deployments of IBM Cognos software to identify the benefits of applying data-related best practices when deploying business intelligence (BI) or performance management (PM). Analysts found that deployment teams were able to maximize improvements to productivity and decision making when they used best practices to maximize the quality and number of data sources on a deployment. Organizations that invested in automated tools such as DataStage for data management were also able to reduce project costs and broaden both the scope and benefits of their deployments.
