Alliance of SAP and IBM Reflects General HCM Industry Trends

The announcement of IBM and SAP conjoining elements of their software-as-a-service (SaaS)–delivered offerings in human capital management (HCM) marks another instance showing the flexibility of cloud-to-cloud integration. The news marks another instance, as well, of vendors of technology for talent management and broader HCM angling to widen the scope of their suites, through partnerships, to retain existing buyers or reach new ones. Ultimately, however, the development will have a nominal effect on the market.
