Salesforce announces Lightning

On August 25, Salesforce announced Lightning, a new user interface (UI) platform that improves user experience and expands the ability of Salesforce and its partners to build new contextual components. Lightning also includes Lightning App Builder and Components, which will enable greater productivity for users and faster delivery of new applications that align with the key user interface (UI) principles of the Dark Cockpit.
