Amazon Redshift: Data Warehousing as a Service

At its AWS re:Invent show, Amazon announced the launch of Amazon Redshift, a managed service for data warehousing. Redshift’s pay-as-you-go resource pricing and low cost provides a compelling option for companies to transfer data from existing on-premise data warehouses to the cloud or to create a backup at a fraction of the cost of existing on-premise data warehousing solutions.
