ROI case study: Logile at Vallarta Supermarkets

December 17, 2025 - ROI Case Studies Z237

Vallarta Supermarkets achieved a 1070 percent ROI upon implementing Logile’s Fresh Inventory Management Suite, recovering its investment in the technology less than one and a half years after deployment. The California-based grocery chain deployed Logile’s modules for areas including Production Planning, Recipe Management, Grind, and Yield Management to unify the operations of its fresh business and replace fragmented systems that hindered visibility and execution. Ultimately, modules like Production Planning were instrumental in driving value for Vallarta, which was able to increase production of fresh items that performed well, while reducing overproduction and subsequent spoilage of items in lower demand. Nucleus found that upon rolling out Fresh Inventory Management modules, the grocer was able to reduce its software costs by 15 percent and increase sales across its produce, bakery, taqueria, and seafood departments while carrying less inventory, translating to more than $10 million in attributable profits by the third year of deployment.
