The funnel by the numbers: talent benchmarks and ICIMS’ impact
Organizations face continuous pressure to hire quickly while also improving candidate quality and recruiter productivity. Nucleus surveyed talent acquisition leaders from midmarket organizations and large enterprises across various industries to benchmark key hiring metrics, including time-to-hire, applicants per open role, and candidate conversion across the hiring funnel. The research also examined how recruiting operations are structured, including the levels of automation across recruiting processes, the sources most relied on to attract candidates, and the capabilities organizations most want from their talent vendors. Nucleus also investigated whether customers using leading enterprise best-of-breed talent acquisition software achieve better outcomes than typical companies. To do this, overall hiring benchmarks for all companies were compared with those of the best-of-breed vendor with the highest ATS market share, ICIMS. Nucleus compared the performance of organizations using ICIMS with those using other talent acquisition platforms and found that ICIMS customers demonstrate stronger hiring outcomes and more efficient recruiting processes, driven by higher applicant volumes and stronger candidate conversion rates.
