The ROI Awards

This is the 11th year of the ROI Awards, and we’re evaluating some great submissions. We won’t announce the winners until June 3, but there are some clear trends. First, it’s hard (actually, it seems impossible) to beat a SaaS solution. Very low initial costs and the ability to match annual costs against annual benefits make the numbers very attractive. On an after-tax basis, SaaS solutions are operating rather than capital expenses, easing cash flow and decreasing taxes, making both the CFO and corporate treasurer happy. A second trend to the ROI Awards submissions is broad deployment. A simple solutions deployed to many people has more impact than a complicated solution deployed to a few. This year is looking like the best set of submissions ever, and as usual we’ll publish ROI case studies on each of the winners.
